Our team is made up of creative business professionals who have a deep, vested interest in the world around them, and who feel a responsibility to make the world a better place. We believe that through promoting people-based businesses and the grassroots work of dedicated nonprofits, we are doing our part to live up to that responsibility. While our motivation is derived from this sentiment, our work arises out of deliberate, technical skill: intelligent strategizing and analysis, purposeful design, and thoughtful copywriting.
MEET GREEN GATE
KATHERINE BRANCH, Founder & CEO
Katherine started Green Gate so that she could have the freedom to follow her instincts and surround herself with a team of compassionate, socially minded people. She values strong client relationships and believes that outstanding work should not only display a high level of technical skill, but that it should inspire an emotional response that encourages mindful, community-oriented action.
An intuitive brand strategist with a strong background in advertising and marketing, Katherine oversees client relations, business development, and marketing strategy for all of Green Gate's clients. Her work has been recognized multiple times by the American Advertising Federation, and she was an integral part of a team invited to attend GIGTANK in 2012, a competitive business incubator for tech startups in Chattanooga, TN. As marketing director of the Chai Pani restaurant group, Katherine helped launch the opening of two new restaurants to great success – bringing the North Carolina brand to the Atlanta market, developing a new bar & lounge concept, garnering hundreds of press mentions, and increasing annual revenues by more than 400%. She is very active in her Atlanta community, having worked and volunteered with several local charitable organizations, and is a member of the Atlanta West End Rotary Club.
Throughout her life, Katherine has traveled extensively, spending time in Europe and India from an early age. This travel contributed towards a global worldview and inspired a lifelong desire to do work that benefits others, ultimately influencing her desire to work with nonprofits.
Katherine enjoys her spare time with family and friends. She is a fan of art, music and good writing, and of people that are kind. She is inspired by acts of courage and open-heartedness. Katherine loves to travel, wander aimlessly, and to read in the sun. She nests with her husband, Jacob, and golden retriever, Ellie, in Decatur, GA.
ROBIN YAMAKAWA, VP of Operations
Robin is a seasoned communication expert who loves to brainstorm. She enjoys using her natural curiosity and writing and editing skills to create content that tells powerful stories. She is experienced in producing content for both print and digital mediums.
Robin specializes in national nonprofit and public health communications. She holds degrees from UNC Chapel Hill in both political science and journalism and mass communication with a public relations concentration.
KIM WILLIAMS, Senior Director of Client Services
Kim is an ace strategist with a background in advertising and management consulting. She has more than 20 years of experience creating integrated marketing campaigns and launching new products, and is well-versed in creating both digital and traditional strategies. She has managed relationships with numerous Fortune 500 clients, overseeing multi-million dollar budgets including Verizon, Newell Rubbermaid, The Home Depot, Coca-Cola, UPS and Bank of America.
Kim loves building and nurturing stellar teams, and takes pride in exceeding expectations by being on time and under budget.
Kim is all about looking for ways to make the world a better place. When she’s not at Green Gate, you can find her hard at work on her nonprofit Code Kids Rock, which helps Atlanta children from all backgrounds learn how to code. She loves ATL because it’s the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr., her hero.
SEAN ENGELHARDT, Creative Director
Sean knows brands and he knows design. He uses his deep understanding of marketing strategy, design skills, and his artistic sensibilities to elevate brands. He knows good design is about more than just making things pretty. Design works best when it tells a story and creates an emotional reaction.
Sean is an agency pro who has worked both in-house and as a freelancer. Along the way, he’s helped brands reimagine their identity, redesigned and created websites and logos, and worked on creative teams to develop comprehensive advertising campaigns. His beautiful, clean designs can be seen online and in print. Past clients include well-known brands such as Time Inc., Forbes, TD, Time Warner Cable Business Class and Virgin Atlantic.
He comes to Green Gate from New York City. Have a thing for typography, illustration, maps, baseball or kittens? Sean does too.
ANTONIO LEWIS, Multimedia Art Director
Antonio is an artist with the technical expertise and marketing savvy to bring your brand to life. He creates inspiring videos, authentic and emotive photos, and visually compelling websites. Antonio designs with purpose and with the end user in mind.
Antonio has an international branding and marketing graduate degree from Boston University, and his undergraduate degree, from Tuskegee University, is in animal science and biology.
When Antonio isn’t storyboarding a video, shooting stills or creating websites, he’s having a cup of coffee and talking about your brand’s potential. Antonio enjoys conversation, travel and taking on projects that challenge him as an artist.
JASON McKISSIC, Project Manager
Jason believes in utilizing data to enhance design and brand experience. He believes that the digital experience should be aesthetically and technologically enjoyable for consumers, but also that it should provide insights to brands so that they can operate more efficiently and effectively. Jason has had the opportunity to work with multiple entrepreneurs and small businesses to put the proper building blocks in place for brands to flourish in the digital space.
Jason comes to us from the Robinson College of Business where obtained his M.S. in marketing. He received his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College where he studied business administration and accounting. When he isn’t obsessing over Instagram, he enjoys crafting quality leather goods and listening to good music.
CHRISTIAN CARRERA, Account Manager
Christian is a marketing professional that loves the research, creativity, strategy, and analysis involved in marketing, as well as the art and science involved in maximizing the value of marketing communications by leveraging content with context.
He is passionate about customer-centric marketing that consumers value.
Christian received his Bachelor in business administration with a marketing concentration from Georgia Gwinnett and received his Master of Science in marketing from Georgia State University where he also received his certificate in specialization of brand and customer management. Christian is HubSpot Inbound Marketing certified and also has a Google Analytics certification.
When he is not getting his marketing on he is probably running, playing soccer, traveling, eating gouda cheese, or drinking espresso.
KATY LOWE, Office Manager
Katy ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly. As a former office assistant on several films and television shows, she has honed her client service skills, and mastered the art of the spreadsheet. She enjoys marrying social media content and guerilla marketing to carry out a client’s vision in a unique and engaging way. Katy holds an MFA in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and hails from the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. She is happiest when she’s eating cereal or discussing the latest episode of Game of Thrones.
AMANDA BOWMAN, Content Strategist
Simply put, Amanda is passionate about creating beautiful content. She is intrigued by storytelling and the creative aspects of marketing. But she also enjoys rolling up her sleeves and digging into spreadsheets to leverage data in the decision making process. By combining her love of creative design and data analytics, she utilizes her social media savvy to create a comprehensive end-to-end experience for the people our clients are trying reach.
Her natural curiosity of all things marketing led her to earn a BBA in marketing from Georgia State University. Amanda is your typical dog-obsessed twentysomething exploring her new found home of Atlanta. In her spare time, you’ll find Amanda hiking the mountains of North Carolina with her two dogs and exploring around town searching for the perfect iced coffee.
STEPHANIE WILL, Digital Marketing Intern
Stephanie is a recent convert to the marketing profession and enjoys working with talented, passionate people. Stephanie sees data as the starting point in most processes, whether it’s iterating on design, creating social strategies, or increasing website performance. She likes to discover inconsistencies and patterns in the data to help build better products as a result.
Stephanie holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of South Carolina and is certified in Inbound Marketing, Email Marketing, and Google AdWords.
When she’s not at the office, Stephanie is learning how to code or discovering new hiking trails with her corgi, Bear.
