Our team is made up of creative business professionals who have a deep, vested interest in the world around them, and who feel a responsibility to make the world a better place. We believe that through promoting people-based businesses and the grassroots work of dedicated nonprofits, we are doing our part to live up to that responsibility. While our motivation is derived from this sentiment, our work arises out of deliberate, technical skill: intelligent strategizing and analysis, purposeful design, and thoughtful copywriting.
Founder & CEO
I love strategy and always see the big picture. From a young age, I understood the way systems work and sought to improve the status quo. I have traveled and volunteered extensively throughout Europe and India, beginning with my first trip at age 7. These global experiences have inspired a lifelong mission to do meaningful work. I started Green Gate as a way to marry my love for branding and marketing with service to the greater community.
As founder and CEO of Green Gate, I guide the vision and oversee our client relations, business development, and marketing strategy. I’ve built an approachable, people-centric agency, powered by a handpicked team of talented creatives. In 2017, Green Gate took home 21 awards for our work, including a Regional Design award in the prestigious PRINT magazine. In 2018, we’ve won 8 awards to date, including an AMY award for visual brand identity.
Over the course of my career, I have worked in marketing and advertising across multiple industries including healthcare, technology, travel, hospitality, and the nonprofit sector. I create marketing and branding strategies that connect with customers, build relationships and produce results. As marketing director of the Chai Pani restaurant group, I helped expand to the Atlanta market and launch the opening of two new restaurants to great success, garnering hundreds of press mentions, and increasing annual revenues by more than 400%. My work has been recognized multiple times by the AAF and, in 2012, I was invited to attend GIGTANK, a competitive business incubator for tech startups.
Through Green Gate, I have been able to donate close to 3,000 pro bono hours to local nonprofits. I am on the board of directors at Raising Expectations, InwardBound Center for Nonprofit Leadership, and Stride Ahead and have volunteered for Emmaus House, Habitat for Humanity, The Learning Tea, The Meher Spiritual Center, The Rotary Club, and the Posse Foundation as a career coach. I am personally inspired by courage, kindness, and golden retrievers.
Sean knows brands and he knows design. He uses his deep understanding of marketing strategy, design skills, and his artistic sensibilities to elevate brands. He knows good design is about more than just making things pretty. Design works best when it tells a story and creates an emotional reaction.
Sean is an agency pro who has worked both in-house and as a freelancer. Along the way, he’s helped brands reimagine their identity, redesigned and created websites and logos, and worked on creative teams to develop comprehensive advertising campaigns. Past clients include well-known brands such as Time Inc., Forbes, TD, Time Warner Cable Business Class and Virgin Atlantic.
Account Manager & Content Strategist
Alexis brings a passion for quality writing, incisive editing, and strategic creative storytelling to her role with Green Gate. Originally from Decatur, GA, she has also lived in Boston, Washington D.C., New York and most recently Los Angeles.
Her extensive background in journalism includes experience with newspapers, alt weeklies, trade publications, arts and culture blogs, and national magazines, including the Atlantic, National Journal, Mental Floss and TIME (where she worked full-time as breaking news editor). Some of her favorite interviews include Lily Tomlin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Yoko Ono & Hank Azaria.
Alexis holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University in English/Creative Writing and a master’s degree from Emerson College in Publishing and Writing.
In her spare time, Alexis is an avid traveler, marine biology enthusiast, new experience seeker, film buff and performing arts fanatic, with a penchant toward provocative new plays, stand-up comedy and improv. She enjoys exploring this city’s bustling breakfast scene, hiking, and raising two rambunctious kittens with her fiancé.
Paige enjoys thinking through projects from start to finish and analyzing the end result. She previously worked in nonprofit development in Washington, DC, where she coordinated event logistics and fundraising.
With experience in social media management, copy editing and event planning, she is a self-proclaimed multitasker and a lover of processes. She is a graduate of Georgia State University and loves Atlanta, long distance running and tracking down the best cold brew coffee in the city.
Junior Graphic Designer
Sam started with us as an intern and after building up her design chops earned the position of Junior Designer. She is a recent graduate of the Creative Circus, and enjoys experimenting with layout, typography and color. Sam is from St. Augustine, Florida, and enjoys illustration and ghost hunting in her time off.
Katy ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly. As a former office assistant on several films and television shows, she has honed her client service skills, and mastered the art of the spreadsheet. She enjoys marrying social media content and guerilla marketing to carry out a client’s vision in a unique and engaging way. Katy holds an MFA in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and hails from the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. She is happiest when she’s eating cereal or discussing the latest episode of Game of Thrones.
